My nephews were born today!!, and ohh the JOY of having teeny tiny babies around the house again, I'm in baby heaven!!.. it was a hard pregnancy, my sister in law had to spend almost six months on bed rest but she delivered two healthy gorgeous little ones and she is doing very well too!

Autumn Friends..

A new painting, a new style... I wish I had more time, the days should have 36 hours instead of 24. Months have passed, my studio and my blog have being sitting here waiting patiently for my return and believe when I tell you I miss my work and I miss you guys, but only time knows when I will be able to make a full come back, too many new things in our lives that require 100% of our attention... all wonderful things but nevertheless I wish I had more time..

Today we get ready for Spring's arrival, and here are some things we do to celebrate Imbolc .

We light candles around our house during the day.

We do our first spring cleaning: I invite my kids to sweep the house and we open the front door and sweep the dust out, this is to symbolize that we get rid of the old and we welcome the new in our lives.

Today is when we prepare the seeds we want for this years vegetable garden and start planting some of them indoors.

We hang Brighid's crosses in the doors that we use the most and above our chimney, and we have a small celebration before the day is over where we write one goal that we want to accomplish this year.

We are trying to get back into our rhythm, this week has being super hard but 2 things were accomplished, we got a new cabinet for our everything room!! and oh! it makes things so much nicer:

but the most wonderful one, (which I have to add here that I had nothing to do with this) Our little Mateo decided 4 days ago that he didn't need any more diapers, Yea!!! no more diapers !!!! (and just one accident!!!).

Anyway I hope that my almost daily blogging gets back in routine.. for now I want to let you know that next week, February 2 we celebrate two important things in my home: Imbolc and our wedding anniversary, we got married 8 years ago : February 2, 2002 at 2:00 P.M so its the perfect time for a Giveaway!! so next Monday I will post the pics for it!!!

Our Winter Solstice celebration...

we light our sun candle, we sing songs and read solstice stories

We make ornaments that resemble the sun

we eat apples

we wait patiently for the longest night of the year

we make our Yule log , this year with holly and cinnamon.

and after we burn it the kids go to bed ... Gary and me while we wait until morning, I light 12 candles with the fire from our log that represent the 12 days that the log is supposed to burn continuously and we meditate and do a recap of our year... tomorrow before sunrise we will drive up to a high spot and wait for sunrise. We will greet the newborn sun with songs and dancing and the kids will receive their first present of the season.

this week we celebrate the animal kingdom, so yesterday we put our animals on our Advent Spiral...

We made window paper stars as ornaments for our tree...

We made for the very first time ballon lanterns!! ohh what a mess it was, but soooo worth it and even though they didn't turn out the way we expected them, candlelight is always candlelight beautiful and warm!!

Its being a while since I have written something, and not because I didn't want too, but because my brain has being all over the place...
You see I've being LOST for a while, and in the process of finding myself I became first an artist, then a traveler, then a WIFE then a MOM.. I'm still lost, some days a little bit less than other days, and for a while I didn't care I was lost, I was just going with the flow, very sad really .. but no one knows how much other lives can affect our own lives even if we really don't know each other ... what I'm trying to say is that you never now when or how there will be a sign in your life that hits you so hard that you start opening your eyes... anyway I don't want to open my eyes because of a tragic event that happens in my life ... I want to open my eyes now so I can be aware of every little tiny detail that surrounds me, So I can say at the end of my life that I did live and not just dreamed... you see there are really people out there that spend there lives dreaming .. dreaming about tomorrow, there is always a tomorrow.. I know because that has always being me.. either I dream of my past or I dream about my future... but what about my PRESENT!! I'm not saying is a bad thing to dream, is not bad when you apply some action to make your dream come true ... but when there is no action there is no reaction...

Life is not PERFECT, and that is what makes it beautiful.. but that simple little truth goes back and forth in my mind and every now and then I forget about it and stress starts building up... life is about practicing MINDFULNESS all the time and ACCEPT and EMBRACE the times that to my eyes things are not going the way they are suppose too, and then just release them and let them go so I can continue with good vibe without going in a vicious circle...

One of the reasons I being lost is because I stop learning... every day I need to learn new things.. I need to keep the excitement and the curiosity to keep going ... another reason is FEAR and this one is the most powerful and awful thing that someone can get in their soul... FEAR of EVERYTHING!!! Yes, I am one of those fearful persons... no, Im not afraid of spiders but I'm extremely afraid of 1. DRIVING... yes you hear that well I do drive but only in a 25 mile ratio and only in roads that I have already mastered.. ONE DAY I KNOW I WILL conquer THIS as I conquered my fear of heights, elevators, airplanes, dogs..
my first exhibition in a gallery..etc but my biggest fear and from which all my fears come is the fear of dying... ALL my life ever since I can remember I'm afraid to die....and because of this I haven't live my fullest./

When I was little my Nana (Babysitter) used to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I would answer her "I'm going to cure the blind" and she would say "oH you want to be a doctor!!'

Not really, I never thought of becoming an MD... but I did imagined myself helping people... then life started and I haven't help the way I imagined but to do that I figure that first I have to help myself.. so how do I do that? when I have a husband, three kids, two cats, and a Brain that thinks way to much and at the end of the day I'm so tired that I just go to bed close my eyes and block everything until the next morning and the cycle start all over again...

After more than a couple of months of doing some mayor changes in our lives things are a little bit clearer and I think I can come back to my blog. I have miss The Blue Egg, but I was not ready for it, but now I think I can come back with baby steps...

So I hope to see you guys around here often... so I can share with you most of the amazing changes we have done around here..

The beginning of Advent.

When I was a little girl my Grandmama had the biggest nativity set I have ever seeing, it was really amazing.. she had a whole village set under her stairs, there were ponds made with blue foil and cellophane paper filled with ducks and fish, it had bridges with people crossing wagons pulled by horses, little children running all over the place, shepherds in different sizes and colors and of course lambs, lots of lambs and each of the grandchildren (12 in total) was represented by one lamb, me being the littlest of my family I was the littlest of the lambs, and every day depending on how well we had behaved we would move the lambs closer to the manger... I can still feel the excitement when walking towards Grandmama's house every night, (fear on those days that I wasn't that well behaved) but when that door was open ... the smell of all the lighted candles, the hot chocolate, the sweet bread, my Grandmama's open arms and the biggest smile that was waiting for us would make every December so very special.

At school we had an advent wreath, and every morning we would light it and prey, it was really beautiful.

This year for my kids I was finally able to buy this advent spiral with Mary and donkey, eventually and hopefully our collection will grow every year, the girls are so excited.. we will read a chapter every night until Christmas, they love to move Mary on her donkey around the spiral and they love to listen to the story, I was afraid the chapters would be too long but they are just enough for the girls to want a little bit more so they are learning to be patient for they have to wait just one chapter a day.

And we bought also baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and three lambs, little by little I hope to be able to resemble my Grandmama's nativity set, probably not in size but in memories, for now I'm making sure all the candles in the house are lighted and the hot chocolate is always ready on the stove.

Gee what an intense past days, between the holiday and the elections no time at all... a very quick post this will be..

I left my camera with el dia de los muertos pics at a friends house so no pics for now I promise I will post them when I get my camera back!

The good news is that my hubby shared the old camera with me and I was able to take pics of the new items that I just listed at the shop. Just a little peek, and an update with more necklaces and candle holders by mid week.

I grew up in ''La capital" or "el Distrito Federal" .. Mexico city ... the 2nd biggest city in the world with 22.8 million people.
We don't really have Halloween. Halloween is a borrowed festivity .. on that day you'll have a mixture and it really depends on what social class you belong too middle class and rich people would go trick or treating dress in costumes yelling through the streets in every house "Halloween queremos Halloween" meaning "halloween WE Want halloween" and that of course means candy. But depending on the area that you live and if you are from a lower class you wont ask for halloween you ask for your "CALAVERITA" this means little skull.. and the candy wont be candy it will be fruit, like tangerines, jicama, oranges... and this kids the ones that ask for calaverita, because they don't have money for costumes they only paint their faces with a skull... so we would have tons of big, little and even the adults with their white skull faces, at least all this was when I was a little kid, but then november first and second is el dia de los muertos!!! that is our real tradition and what a gorgeous tradition it is.. We believe that the dead come back to us for one day .. the vail from their world to our world is so thin on those days.
So we make altares to honor our death people, we make a lot of food, food that has a special meaning and food that we know the dead person used to like when she/he was alive.. we put a lot of fresh orange and purple flowers around .. a lot of candles to guide them, we write funny songs and poems, we decorate with papel picado, calaveritas de azucar and paper mache statues of the skeletons dressed up as traditional mexican women and men, anyway you can find a lot of information in the internet about "el dia de los muertos" it is a beautiful tradition one that I really love and every year I do my altar . So today in the morning I will be decorating and getting ready for "el dia de los muertos" with festivities through the whole weekend and I'll come back to share all the pics..

pumpkins!!! I TOTALLY LOVE THEM!!!! this is my favorite time of the year!!!!

WE went to pick three pumpkins, one for each wee one, on Saturday we have two carving parties... and then next week we are having a little early Samhain tea party for the girls where after tea we carve lanterns out of gourds and each of the kids prepare a story to tell at night. we light the lanterns and we sit in a circle, we put some nature music as backround and blankets all over the backyard.. the kids love it.

So the girl's party was super fun.. we had tons of little kids jumping and running all over the back yard, all dressed up, it was super cute, we had lions, bumblebees, little witches, super heroes, ladybugs, princesses and cowboys.. ohh and a frog!!

the idea for this little dolls came from here, I think they are adorable and the kids loved them.

So the girls birthday party will be in a week, we did celebrate M's but the real party is still to come, we are doing one big party for both girls with 2 cakes and the theme will be ladybugs!! so here is the to do list:

Te invitations are already done here is a pick of the illustration I did for it, watercolor acrylic and pencil..

the goody bags are going to be little wooden boxes decorated with polka dots and inside a little wooden doll. I still have quite a few to finish and a little pouch with miniature color pencils if I have time (which I bet I wont) I would like to give also a note pad but that will be in my dreams.

Im still looking for an idea for the cakes. and the decorations I only need to do the bunting .. I know is still a lot to do so this weekend work work work...

I am already missing you... time goes faster every minute every second of my life and its just not enough 24/7 that I spend with you because I know that I will blink and tomorrow you will

And that is why my little one that I don't want to miss not even a second of your life.

When you were born you were born with your eyes open you didn't want to miss your big entrance to this great world... and since that day you want to eat the whole world with big spoonfuls.. I know you have to grow and I want you to grow... just do it a little bit slower will ya?

Once upon a time there used to be this Mom that blogged on regular basis but where did she go? ohh wait.. that was me !!!

I can't believe it has being this long, every now and then I loose the rhythm in our lives an oh!! the chaos and it usually happens when summer finishes and ohh the chaos is still chasing me. Today specially everything that had to go wrong, went wrong, but now I'm laying in my bed with two of my crazy fleas still giggling under the covers trying sooo hard to sleep but way to excited about all the events of the day and I look back and I m soo grateful that I can laugh now about all the craziness that was really getting into me at some point... everything started early morning when I was still sound asleep and suddenly in my dreams I kept feeling that my clothes were soaking wet when I open my eyes I realize it was not a dream but that my middle flea had wet the bed by accident and now the rest of us were sleeping in a nice bed puddle.... so after that nice waking call and having putting bedspread pj's bedsheets in the laundry (which by the way Yesterday was washing day so all this happened in brand clean linens ) and kids and Mommy in the shower we went downstairs for breakfast and we were welcomed by this funny weird kinda burn rubber smell that I could not figure out were was it coming, in my distraction of the smell I was opening cabinets and suddenly a bag of bread jumped straight at me falling on top of the dry cat food plate bouncing back pouring all the cat food every where, by this moment my one year old realizes there is cat food raining all over the place and he is having a blast trying to eat every piece, but the bread bag was open and you know were it bounce and landed wide open? Yes in the other cat plate, YES the one with water... You see we were going to have french toast for breakfast we ended having quesadillas... still nice but I wanted something sweet sigh anyway all this and It was only 8:30 am.. Do I really want to get out my house today ? cause really something was telling me STAY INSIDE TODAY but then I thought I couldn't handle more messes so after finding that the smell was coming from a cooking spoon that had burn and melt inside the dishwasher and wrapped around the iron ring that heats and dries the plates and realizing I wont be able to use my dishwasher for the next couple of days I decided to get out of my house before it would catch on fire so all day long I avoided my home .. and of course things happened outside but thank goodness nothing mayor.. from the cat hiding in my hood and luckily and have no idea why I decided to open the hood before turning the engine on .. to loosing my wallet at the grocery store with the basket full of groceries and in serious need of milk.... but anyway now I'm really laughing and my kids had turn the giggling into a pillow fight so I have to join them before feathers start coming out..

and of course le petite prince had to join and he was very happy, with twelve adorable girls surrounding him pretending he was their prince. Everything turn out super cute and everyone had a blast.

So, here I am, it's our second (or third?) week of our summer vacation, my kids and my skin smell like chlorine not to mention our eyes have turned into this redish color, our toes and fingers have grown a little bit of extra skin in between, the carrot juice that we drink every morning has helped protect everyones skin (I'm proud to say that no one have had a sunburn), our daily breakfast: quesadillas with green sauce, our daily lunch: fish tacos with sweet potato fries... still nine weeks to go yohooo!!!!! I could live in an eternal summer you know? if you don't mind wet towels all over the place, dripping swimmers hanging from every shower door and little feet marks in the wooden floors, be my guest and come join the fun!!!

Anyway, since I came to the States, every year I try to go back to Mexico for at least a month. This is where my parents live and where I lived the first 27 years of my life!! but this would be the first year I wont go buhuuu!!!!! but that also means yohoooo!!!! traveling has it's pros and cons and its always nice to see all of your 104 close relatives and the other 500 not so close relatives but seriously, as much as I love to travel and believe me I do, for some reason this year I'm extremely happy to stay home... HOME... HOME... HOME... don't you love that word? HOME it's just awesome... I have a HOME!!!! with three little bugers that can't stop jumping in the living room sofas and won't stop screaming in our ears every day, a husband that cooks and makes us laugh with every invention he has and two cats that sleep at the end of our beds.... life is just wonderful.

well is officially summer for us !!!!!! no school for 12 weeks !!!! I am so excited to have my little ones running and jumping around .

We will be eating purple ice blocks and sandwiches all summer long and will spend the days in swimmers 24/7 !! yeah for summer!!!

And this also means that the shop will be closed and will reopen back at the beginning of the fall usually and hopefully with lots and lots of new drawings.

I will keep posting every now and then but I wont be spending much time at the computer ( yea right I wish) Anyways have a good one you all!!

So little M , my #3, had surgery yesterday morning. Nothing serious thank goodness, lets just say he had pipi problems and hopefully we wont need a second surgery, but even it was something simple it was nerve racking, especially when they have your baby with full anesthesia for 2 hours.. anyway he is such a trooper we had to stop giving him solids and milk at 9 pm tuesday, and the surgery was scheduled for 10:50 am the next day , he could only have pedialite until 6 o'clock wednesday morning and then to make matters worse the surgery was delay for another hour.. and you know what my little M did all the time? he suck his thumb, no whines no cries no worries he did so well and smiled at everyone and laughed, like trying to say Mommy I'm very brave everything is going to be super fine... and Momma on the other hand was a wreck as soon as they took him away I couldn't stop crying , but two hours later he came back to us already awake and laughing again.. you couldn't tell that he just had surgery. Thank goodness is over.

We are going on a beaR hunt...

Okay... so we did tons of things this past weekend, we exceeded our fun limit (that is what Hubby said) we literally couldn't stand up from bed today in the morning.

Everything started on Friday, we went to a late night movie Nims island, have you seeing it? my kids loved it, they will love anything that has animals, ocean and dancing... super cute, we liked a lot. We laughed a lot.

Next day, imagine it childrens museum, not that cute but they had an amazing little jazz concert that made the trip and then we went to this park just in front of the museum that the kids just went bananas... this proves that the best things in life are free. We had an amazing time just going up and down this crazy slippery dip, that looks like a conveyer line with rollers all the way through. Kiddo #2 slept (she sleeps a lot) most of the time and just a couple of minutes before leaving she wakes up and of course we couldn't leave so another couple of hours we stayed..

anyway Sunday we wanted a little more relaxing day so we stayed home planting and painting and dancing and reading and eating and.... at this time I need just a couple more days of this... so much fun... people should work only from Monday to Wednesday.

Almost 3 weeks ...3 weeks that I haven't had a chance to color any of my drawings... there are so many that I like and want to finish soooo bad, but I haven't had a chance at all. I'm hoping to make this Saturday moRning a "Mama at the studio" time.. because really, how long can a drawing stay as a work in progress, when they haven't have any progress at all.. before they end in the " mmh.. I never finished that one either "

so Im hoping to come back next week with some finished work, and I better hurry soon because I can feel in my blood that my interests are going to change very soon. It does happen often, you know?, I really like to experiment with different media, right now illustrations and drawings are perfect because of the space and time I have but I can feel it, my mind is being wandering around different things and I start having that tingly feeling in my hands and stomach ...

I think this is the one that I'll will work on Saturday... is from the series the way seasons travel..

We did have Easter, but Kiddo#1 fell sick just a couple of hours before the egg hunt, so she missed it all, it lasts less than 24 hours, is the same as Kiddo #2 had last week, a full day of sleep and the next day they are like nothing happened, and it was just a matter of time for #3 to get it so when he threw up and had a little bit of fever I just said to Hubby here we go again... so frustrating.

The good thing is that is a very short thingy and I can say they only get sick once a year (usually by Easter) but them being so young I can't keep them apart for them no to contagion their siblings, and I guess because of the crazy weather we have in Georgia at this time of the year is easy for kiddos to get sick.

And I guess every story has its share of cuteness and this one is no exception:

Kiddo #1; Mama? did the Easter Bunny came yesterday while I was sick?

Mama; yes Honey, I'm sorry you missed it, but your sister found eggs for you!!.

Kiddo #1; mmh, ( she opens the back door, walks outside, stares to the backwoods in silence for a while) and she inhales deep and yells out at the top of her lungs:

of course by the afternoon the Easter Bunny arrived for the second time to our house not without a note saying that kiddo#1 had to wait to eat her treats until she was 100% healthy, which of course she has been trying to convince me that she already is.

Yesterday I was able to take a peek at a few blogs that I usually read and Im soooo excited about this award that Jackie send me!!! it was so nice, specially after a day of having a little one with fever .. she really made my day!!!! and I love reading her blog Mothering Nature, everyday she reminds me of the amazing little things that surrounds us and make our lives so exciting.

My little kiddo #2 is still a little bit sick so I'll come back hopefully after the weekend and I'll pass this award to some people that make my day every day.

Sometimes it really happens... nothing up there.. in my brain, I mean I know I still have it but I'm just without words.. nothing too share, I have being sketching a lot.. a couple things that have turn out o.k., but my camera has being stolen by hubby to record some bits of his own engineering work so I'll share some pics in the next couple of days.

I think I'm in reflecting mode, I'm in one of this moments that make you grow up as a person but you have no idea where exactly is going to take you, so I'm kinda of an observer of my own life right now, probably pretty boring for you guys that are reading... but anyway when I put all this ideas together I'll try to put them in words and share them with you. (just a tiny weed)

Through etsy you meet wonderful people, and a couple of weeks ago I end up writing back and forth with a super friendly gal, who gave me a couple of ideas for my drawings, "just a tiny weed" came out of her head, and it turn out perfect for this week theme. Many thanks Amanda!!!

I have being working in this new drawing for the past weeks in took forever and I'm still not sure with the end result, I think I still have to work on it, maybe the little birdies need to be in different colors?

This past week was a crazy one. I hardly had time for anything, my laundry? oh! the laundry, yes about that... mmh is still piling in the laundry room. so I guess my to do list for this week will be:

its just not right the amount of clothes that a family of five can have!!!

Anyway the weather was a roller coaster, Monday thru Wednesday sunny and perfect for afternoons at the park.. The girls had such a gorgeous time!!!

and then thursday rain, rain, rain which I absolutely dig, it makes me feel nostalgic I just LOVE rainy days... and then snow again!!! Im telling you crazy crazy crazy!!! of course my kids were thrilled kiddi#1 kept shouting CHristmas is coming back !!! Christmas is coming back, pretty disappointed she was, when i told her it was not Father Christmas that wanted to come back but global warming that is making mother earth coo coo!!

First of all I want to thank every one that stop by the blog in this past days, you have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you all for such nice comments.

Today was an amazing day for me.

I woke up with tons of things in my mind (as always), and thinking what a busy and stressful day was going to be... Im not good with stress, you will tell me: but who is good with stress? well, I know a lot of people that do well with stress, that doesn't mean they like it, but they do well, they manage themselves..

Me?!!! not so good I really panic, I sweat, I mumble, I forget, I trip all over the place, I get hurt of course because of the tripping thing, I branch a lot ( that means my thoughts start going all over the place in less than a second and I can't focus) I yell and this is when usually a green monster starts overcoming my nice and sweet me... not a pretty picture.

So, today I woke up with that butterfly feeling that tells me is not going to be a nice day..

I'm trying to get my 2 girls to get dress ( which if u have a 2 and a 4 year old together in the same room you'll know that this can take at least 20 min. they giggle they chase each other, they jump OHH WHAT FUN!!! but dear reader is not when u have to be at their school at 8:20 and is already 8:20 and both girls are still in panties), by this time the baby is usually wide awake and having a blast watching the whole family circus going all over the place, but today he was still asleep. I grew up with a Dad that his favorite hobby was to wake you up when the best part of your dreams were on...

That is why I try so hard for my children to wake up when they are ready to do so..

I believe in the power of sleep, the more you sleep the happier you are!!!

So going back to baby .. everyone was ready to part.. and baby asleep, profoundly sleep. It was gorgeous , sooo beautiful and peaceful.. and looking at him I was thinking to myself, how in the world can I wake this little one and take him out in the cold weather? (beautiful cold weather by the way: it was snowing! we live in georgia!! little snow of course but snow).

Anyway just about to wake him up, Husbando of mine comes to me and says: don't wake him I'll take the girls to school ,.. ohh he is such a blessing , he saw it too, he saw how that little one needed that sleep sooo bad and that he was enjoying that moment so very much and in that moment I knew that this day was going to be a special day with my little potato next to me.. and like my Dad says all the time.. We did nothing and we did it very slow!

I decided to focus in the little tiny things and to worry about the rest for tomorrow.. and it was an amazing day with the little one.

There are this days, when ideas don't stop, the more you work the more ideas come to your head.. and yesterday, while I was laying in bed with k#2, (she was throwing up all night the poor little bugger) my brain just couldn't stop. You might be thinking great!!! but I didn't have any paper around me, the little one would start crying every time I tried to standup and by the time we fell asleep and the time I woke up exhausted of course only two of those great ideas stayed with me... sad story. The great news is that my kid woke up without any symptoms so we are happy.

Other thing I found through the night was this tree house, have no idea how I got there, I guess the typical surfing around trying to find inspiration, or interesting blogs or whatever, anyway is amazing, is one of those things that I have always dreamed of doing and here we go again another thought that wont stop in my head.

TOO MANY SKETCHES, TOO LITTLE TIME!!!! but I'm loving every one of them.

okay this is how it works, I wanted to draw a little farmer with chicken's around him, the next thing I know a seal appears out of nowhere and now I can't find the chicken's.

Can't believe a week has passed and I haven't being able to post anything. Well the kids were on their winter brake, and for two days little kiddo # 2 (yep the same that redraw my sketch) has being sick, not big time but enough for me to stay away from my computer..

Anyway today I finally signed in and I found a wonderful surprise!!! I got my first comment!!!!! and it was actually a good one!! and the best thing was that it came from an artist that I absolutely dig her artwork!!! For quite some time now I've being thinking about mermaids, but none of my sketches have fancy me enough to actually finish them, this week someone ask me If I had some or if I would be willing to make one So I went back to the drawing path and this time I feel like something better is coming out, not yet what I want exactly but better.. will see what happens, what did came out is the idea of the third and fourth drawings of my series in progress Little boy and his best friend rabbit.. for those who have visited my shop ( if you are here reading this is because you have, because is the only place I have announce my blog) you have probably seeing that series.. So, tell me again why am I the dragon? and Mhh that's more like it!!! , well the only thing I can tell you now is the title or what I think will be the title : "Here we go again" and "I'm glad Im not the horse" .

I don't have pictures now but I promise that I will at the begining of next week.

Yep you guessed right, this is Autumn he decided to take the slow long ride home, good thing is not even spring yet , right?

Autumn is my favorite season, and all year long I look forward to it that is why Autumn makes its appearance in a lot of my drawings even when Im drawing about some other season, but some other time when its actually closer I'll talk more about it, I don't want to forget about spring..

Colors have a mind of their own, some of them are super easy to use and some others... well, they just want to pull your leg a little bit before they let you work nice and smooth on the paper. And that goes in hand with printing, GEE !!! with some drawings everything comes out super fast and easy, like "Girl with her pet snail" I think everything turn out good in this one, love the colors, the whole drawing has good composition and in no time she was out.

...and then comes Antonia, she just didn't want to be colored, it took me probably 2 months to decide what colors she was going to wear and finally, she is finished, ready to be print and guess what? Im in the 12 try and it hasn't come out right... Girl with her pet snail? just one try and it came out perfect !!! Antonia? a whole different story...

maybe she wants to be OOAK. MMMH... will think about it.

So Friday night I went to bed super late, that is what usually happens every week because I know marvelous hubby will be in charge of the kiddos the next morning, and this week specially because he traveled all week long, anyway so I worked on a sketch all night and super tiered went to sleep without putting away anything in the studio MMMHHH BIG HUGE MISTAKE!!!!!

Saturday morning I wake up refreshed and super excited , and wanted to show hubby the sketch I worked all night, and what I found a sketch redone by kiddo #2!!!!!

I almost )Q@#%&$A)$ but... what can I do it was entirely my fault for not putting away my stuff. So I did the only thing I could do ..went back to the drawing table ( which is computer, sawing, cutting and everything table).

And finally today I can see that the damage was not a big one and now the drawing is finished and in the etsy shop!! I really liked the way this one turn out !! love the colors of the rainbow!! and love my little witches. so Im happy happy happy.

Im hoping to be able to record most of my illustrations and the process of making them. This blog is specifically for that, and I'm thinking maybe i'll update it two or three times a week.

Having three little wee ones (4,2 and 6 months) sometimes makes it kind of impossible, that's why I'm not promising to update it every day, because then I wont even have time for my illustrations (and laundering, cooking, sleeping etc.. which I think the rest of the family thinks is important, me? not so much)
